Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The tool runs entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. Your files are read from your device, processed in memory and saved straight back to it. They are never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone.
Which image formats are supported?
JPG (JPEG), PNG and WebP. JPG images are embedded as they are and PNG images are stored losslessly, so both keep their original quality. WebP images are converted to PNG first.
Why do my phone photos come out the right way up?
Phones often save photos sideways with a note saying how to turn them. The converter reads that note and rotates each page so it matches what you see on your phone.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. Because all the work happens on your own device, there are no servers to pay for.
