Why these image tools are different
Your photos stay private
Images are processed on your own device in a background worker. Nothing is uploaded, logged or stored, so there’s nothing to leak.
Hidden location removed
Phone photos often record exactly where they were taken. Metadata such as GPS location, date and camera model is removed by default.
Fast and free
No upload queue, account, watermark or daily limit. There are no servers doing the work, so there’s nothing to charge for.
Most online image converters upload your photos to their servers. These tools use WebAssembly builds of MozJPEG, libwebp, oxipng and libheif to do the same work inside your browser tab instead. You can check this yourself: open your browser’s network tab while using a tool and you’ll see that no image is sent.

Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. The tool runs entirely in your web browser. Your images are read from your device, processed in memory and saved straight back to it. They are never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone.
Does it remove GPS location and other metadata?
Yes, by default. Photos often carry hidden EXIF data such as the GPS location where they were taken, the date and the camera or phone model. “Remove metadata” is on unless you turn it off, so the images you share don’t reveal where you were. Colours are kept looking the same: re-encoded images are converted to standard sRGB, and files kept in their original form keep their colour profile.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. Because all the work happens on your own device, there are no servers to pay for.
Do the tools work on my phone?
Yes. They work in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. Very large photos are quicker on a computer, which has more memory.
Who built these tools?
They were built by Tek Min Ewe, a senior software engineer, using Next.js, WebAssembly builds of MozJPEG, libwebp, oxipng and libheif, and a Web Worker so the page stays responsive. They’re part of his portfolio.
