Static QR codes, with no strings attached
Never expires
Your content is stored in the code itself. There’s no redirect link in between, so no one can switch it off, count your scans or ask you to pay later.
Nothing leaves your browser
The code is drawn by JavaScript on your device. Links, WiFi passwords and contact details are never uploaded, and there’s no tracking.
No sign-up
No account, email address, watermark or scan limit. Download as many codes as you like and use them commercially.
Many “free” QR code generators create dynamic codes that send every scan through their own short link. If the service closes, changes its terms or starts charging, those printed codes stop working. The codes made here point straight at your content, so they keep working without this site or any other server.
Frequently asked questions
Is what I type sent anywhere?
No. The code is generated by JavaScript in your browser. Your links, passwords and contact details are never uploaded, logged or stored, and there’s no tracking. You can check by opening your browser’s network tab while you type.
What is a vCard QR code?
A vCard is the standard file format for contact details. A vCard QR code contains that data, so when someone scans it their phone offers to create a new contact with your name, number, email and other details filled in.
How much can I include?
Everything in the form fits, but each field makes the code denser and harder to scan when printed small. For a business card, name, phone, email and website are usually enough. If the code gets very dense, leave out the address or note.
Can I update the details later?
Not in the same code: the details are stored in the code itself, which is also why it never expires. If your number or job changes, make a new code. Many paid “dynamic” vCard codes can be edited, but they depend on the provider’s server staying online.
How do I make sure the code scans?
Keep dark modules on a light background with strong contrast, leave the quiet zone (the plain border) at 4 modules if you can, and print the code at least 2 cm (about 0.8 in) wide, larger if people scan from further away. The generator blocks inverted and low-contrast colours. Always test the final print with a couple of phones.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. They are static QR codes: what you type is stored in the code itself, so it works for as long as the printed or saved image exists. Many “free” generators make dynamic codes that point to their own redirect link, which can stop working, show ads or ask you to pay later. These codes don’t depend on any server, including this one.
Is it really free?
Yes. There’s no sign-up, watermark, scan limit or paid plan. The codes are yours to use commercially, and because the work happens on your own device there are no servers to pay for.
